EXTRAS
Extra handling (rental set-up and pick up): starting at $25 per set-up (base on volume)

Q: Is there any other fee relating to delivery?
A: Because some order requires a more elaborate set-up and display, an extra handling fee may be applied when there is no server on site. This fee varies according to the rental quantity needed (China, tables, etc.)

When members of our staff are booked on site, this fee is waved and is included in the hourly rate.

Q: Is there a charge for dinnerware?
A: As part of our 'green' policy, we offer free recycable plates, trays, cups, glass and utensils to our clients with all buffet purchase.

We also supply a plastic protective tablecloth for your buffet table; however, if your budget allows it, we encourage you to take advantage of our available China dinnerware and linen rental.

Q: How much do you charge for waiters?
A: You must be prepared for staff to arrive 1 hour minimum before your event starts, so they can set up the site and get everything ready for your guests. Before hand, they need to prepare, change and receive final instructions for the event. Although the price of each employee can change depending on the logistic of the event, the basic charge is:

$76 for a minimum of three hours per employee, extras hours are billed at $25 each (extra $3/hour if bar service).

The charge for :

chefs or a Maître D is $92 for a minimum of three hours, extras hours are billed at $29 per hour each.

Q: What is your overtime policy?
A: Overtime charges are $25/hr for each server and $29/hr for chefs and Maître D's. However, as we try to be as precise as possible about the estimated time of each employee and the cost to you, some variations on these charges can occur.

Q: What will be the final amount of my bill?
A: Several catering services will quote you price per person without including or informing you about the “extras” that will appear on your bill.

We prefer to do our pricing according to the number of people in your group (which includes all the extras) because that is the final amount you will end up paying (with or without applicable delivery and service charges and applicable taxes).

However, for more personnalized menus or large occasions, we prefer to give you a detailed list of all the costs associated with your event.

Please let us know about your budgetary limitations are so that we can easily offer you a menu that will work for your event within the boundaries you have set for the occasion.

General
Q: How many portions do I need to order?
A: Portions can always be judged with one simple rule: the better the food and the more guests you have, the more portions you are going to need! Our years of experience and customer feed back have enabled us to create formulas for our menus that will give you the appropriate amount of portions to order. Here are some of the guidelines that we use to decide on how many portions to prepare for our menus:

For our buffets:

Be it for a hot or cold buffet, this formula is a wise decision for group dinners. A wide range of flavours and products guarantee that each guest will want to taste everything on the table, sometimes twice! Our experience shows that having one third more portion for each person is sufficient as a buffet offers more food than a regular sit-down dinner. However, when you combine good food with good appetite, the buffet table won’t be filled for long! So, if you have a few epicureans' eaters in your group, you shouldn’t hesitate to order 5 to 10 % more portions.

For our cocktails:

So that all your guests may enjoy their evening, you should plan for a minimum of three to four servings of each tasty offering per guest if cocktails will be followed by dinner. Generally, our clients figure that 6 to 8 servings per person is enough for a two hour serving. For longer gatherings or for evenings planned with dinner, you should plan for drink services or desert plates. A coffee service with regular and herbal teas is recommended for cocktail gatherings of three hours or more.

Q: What precautions do you offer for guest with food allergies?
A: You must inform us of any food related allergies so that we
can take all possible precautions in preparing your meal. Still,
we cannot guaranty a total absence of traces of nuts or other
allergens in our food.

Q: Who makes up your service staff?
A: Our waiters are trained industry professionals who work for us under contract. They are familiar with our services and our menus and are very capable of informing you on any number of our products.

Before every service, they are brought up to date with all the menu and coordination details for that specific event. We only hire professional, mature persons with integrity to represent our company and, when the need occurs, we join in!

Q: Can I hire the services of a cook?
A: If your event requires the presence of a cook, rest assured you will have an experienced member of our team, well versed in the Chef’s secrets at your service! For weddings or large banquets you should also hire a maitre ‘D to coordinate all the aspects of your event.

Q: Are we required to tip?
A: We leave tipping to the discretion of the client. Depending on the length and logistics of an event, our staff would be thrilled to receive between $10 and $25 dollars for their services. If you prefer, we can come to a predetermined percentage amount that can be added to your bill automatically.

Q: Do you offer bar services?
A: As catering specialists, we can offer you a bar and barman services. However, most of our clients prefer to stock the bar themselves in order to have control over the alcohol management. We can help you plan by providing you with suggested quantities, drink mix recipes and help with your beverage selections. Don’t forget to include water and non-alcoholic drinks when stocking your bar!

Also, if you are in need of a temporary permit, we can help you with the paper work.

Q: What do you offer in the way of onsite equipment?
A: Certainly! we can supply the necessary material to make your event stand out at very competitive prices!

Generally, the equipment is delivered directly to the site, and collected the business day from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Q: Who is responsible for the equipment once it has been delivered?
A: The client is responsible for the equipment once it is on-site. We can offer you insurance coverage to prevent out-of-pocket expenses in case of breakage wich is equivalent to 15,5% of the total rental amount.
